American Sardine Bar
Normally, the Penn Vegan Society recommends a food establishment only if there is a variety of great vegan foods offered, but the American Sardine Bar is a one-hit wonder. The vegan Pambazo is such a blockbuster that it got in the Philadelphia City Paper its own article titled “EAT THIS IMMEDIATELY.”

Here is a sample of what eating the Pambazo is like: “[the pambazo bread]… is soaked in a guajillo pepper sauce and crisped up on the flat top before it’s stuffed full of… refried beans, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, portobello mushrooms, and potatoes and onions spiced up with jalapenos.
